A fishing spider in the genus Dolomedes may be D. albineus

Yes. The photo is low res but the “white band” of its common name is visible. Their dorsal cephalothorax usually looks like a lichen, like this.

@Blg this is a species that generally lives on trees or wooden objects. It has markings that help it hunt discretely. Their venom isn’t medically significant. I’m not sure of the gender of this injured spider. If female, there may be an egg sac in the mailbox. If you choose to move the egg sac, you should move the mother to the new location first because she’ll try to defend it. She can be scooped up by the paper and cup method.
