I like to have my hand in photos of big spiders too. 🙂 This is a Joro Spider. They’re a newly accidentally introduced species to USA via Georgia. I recommend searching the legend of Joro Spiders, there is a cryptid myth, like Big Foot, unicorns, and Nessie that goes with them. This is a nice photo angle, the side view, that we can use for reference.
