This thing is huge, has a long body and we found it in the middle if nowhere in the desert. I have no idea what it is. Any help? Thanks.

Order Solifugae. Common names: Windscorpion, Sun spider, Camel spider.
A harmless arachnid usually found in shallow burrows, under rocks/logs. Mostly nocturnal.
Too many false myths about these critters.
Their worst is can give a painful pinch if grabbed in the hand.
