Hi, welcome to SpiderID. 🙂 You have a mature male Funnel Weaver in the genus Coras.

Although they’re adapted to live outdoors, a rapid temperature change could be too much for him. If you choose to release him I’d do it during the day so he has time to acclimate himself to the temperature change, and over leaf litter so he’s more protected. I don’t know if he’s well or not. If you like you could try giving him a drink of water by wetting a small piece of paper towel/tissue and placing it in the container with him when you catch him. He might be old, or just resting. Hard to say.

If he’s still there you can remove him by placing a cup over him and gently sliding a stiff piece of paper underneath, then deposit him outside so he can find a girlfriend. He’s not really an indoor species but probably sensed there was water in the bathroom.

You’re welcome!
