Comments & ID Thoughts

Houston, Texas. Brown Recluse? But, I hope not. It was hanging around my car’s windshield in the inside. It’s around 8:30PM. I saw it last week too but in the afternoon. I am not afraid of spiders but need to know that it’s not a Brown Recluse or other poisonous species.

Looks like a Longlegged Sac Spider, they are not a medically significant spider.

Salticidae

I agree that this looks like a Long-legged Sac Spider. Just so you’re aware, they tend to be a bit on the aggressive side in comparison to most spiders in your area. They’re cute, but maybe not the best to handle!

ItsyBitsy

Cheiracanthium mildei is a likely possibility, there are some details I can’t see as well as I’d like though so I’m only filing to family.
