I actually think he was trying to get closer to my light to get warm. He was walking on the Granddaddy Long Legs webs and they were not having it. I’ve seen long legs attack those blk jumping spiders here and I didn’t want him to get hurt or killed, so I got my reaching stick and got him down. He got on my wall near my bed and seemed agitated so I flicked him to the floor. Not hurting him. I don’t need to get bit not knowing what type he is.
Hi, this looks like a Funnel Weaver (Agelenidae). There are a few similar genera out west.
Are funnel weavers harmful?
Hi. Nope, not dangerous at all, a fire ant is worse, then a matter of provoking a bite but these guys will run first.
I posted a photo of another spider. Do you have an idea what kind of spider it is?
Could you look at another photo that I submitted of another spider that has appeared in my bedroom near my light.
