Comments & ID Thoughts

I need help identifying this spider, found under the back door to outside of house in the city trying to enter home. Mostly concerned about being venomous/risk to small children (it had to be sprayed). Per the pictures in the site can't decide if its a Giant House Spider or a Hobo Spider.

Hi, welcome to Spider ID. 🙂 This is a Wolf Spider (Lycosidae). It appears to be something very close to Hogna antelucana. I’m not familiar with which exact species are in your region.
