My amateur guess is that it is a type of brown recluse. For reference, the upside down number 2 embossed in the middle of the plastic cup is exactly 3/4 inch tall. Looking at it under a magnifying glass, it appears to have 6 eyes, one pair of eyes in the upper middle and two pairs up and off to each side (however, it's very hard to tell for sure with my cheap magnifying glass). Under my magnifying glass, it is clear that it has fine hairs on its legs. My cat noticed it and alerted me to it as it was peeking up from behind a baseboard in between my fireplace and a log pile nearby. Sorry I don't have a great camera. It lost almost three of its legs as I was catching it. I attempted to preserve it in isopropyl alcohol.

Hi, as you already surmised on the other thread this is a Metaltella simoni. Unlike the other though this one is either a female or immature.
