Comments & ID Thoughts
Ixodes scapularis, black-legged tick, female ventral, about three days of feeding on my dog’s blood. I wish my neighbors would rake their leaves adjacent to my dog pen. Same individual as the dorsal photo I submitted. An arachnid, but not a spider. Some spiders hunt and eat ticks. Gotta love that!
