Bassaniana utahensis
(Utah Crab Spider)

I think I just spotted this spider on my kitchen ceiling in Denver Colorado. (It got away before I could get my camera.) I was struck by two features: 1) the very flat body, and 2) the way its legs were posed, very flat against the surface, and curved differently from most spiders I have seen.
No, I have not been travelling to Utah. I really like your website, thanks!

– Ah, I googled the Genus, and have found another species, Bark crab spider, B. versicolor, that could also match the one I saw.
