Picture of Phidippus - Eyes

Comments & ID Thoughts

It appears to be a female Phidippus otiosus, or canopy jumping spider. She was very subdued and did not move much while I relocated her with a leaf. I found her on my porch.

Nicely focused photo. It shows the large median eyes and the distinct tufts of dark hairs beside the eyes that are characteristic of Phidippus. So agree it’s a female Phidippus.
