Checking for a friend. Found in her basement. More than one! Wants to know how to get rid of them to turn downstairs basement into a room!

Hi, this is a Black Lace-weaver, Amaurobius ferox. You can reduce the number of spiders you find in your home by vacuuming everywhere and emptying the canister outside. Seal cracks around floors, doors, windows, foundation, plumbing fixtures, excetera. If there are a lot of them there’s probably some other bugs down there that they’re feeding off of.
