Comments & ID Thoughts
Guessing variety of jumping spider? With legs stretched out in stance, almost the diameter/size of a dime. Noticed it crawling around on living room ceiling of my apartment yesterday and today. It did come down on its single web-string but returned back to ceiling. Finally it fell off and onto a table where I took this picture with my lousy cell phone camera.
Would really appreciate to know what it is and is it dangerous-venomous before I exterminate it.

Hi. This is a Phidippus johnsini jumping spider. Of all the jumpers I have handled and played with, one of these is the only to bite.(my bad) actually watched her biting. I compare it to an ant sting.
They don’t bite unless trapped or smacked against skin.
If you have issues with venomous bites or stings, best not handle or play with them.
Great fly catchers around a kitchen window.
