Olios giganteus
(Giant Crab Spider)

Hi, yes, they are called giant crab spiders, your, Olios giganteus, sometimes called golden huntsman.
I call them very harmless, takes a lot to set them off and then, a bite is no worse than a bee sting.
They are found from central Texas to California,north to Oregon border.
