Comments & ID Thoughts
Platycryptus undatus or something related? I'm in northern Nevada, but don't see my state listed for this spider's range.
It's not the same as other jumping spiders I've seen in my yard before. It was investigating a plant I had brought outdoors for the summer, and was only about a half-inch long. Thank you!

Tentatively Platycryptus californicus.
Thank you! That does look more like it. That’s the problem with googling unknown things, you never get all the possible results.
The Platycryptus spiders look similar, Itsy Bitsy’s ID took location into account. Sometimes I try using Bing or Yahoo to see different results than Google and it works out well.
