Does anyone know what kind of spider this is?
Hi, this isn’t a spider. Beetle maybe. You may have better luck on a forum that covers a wider range of arthropods like iNaturalist or BugGuide.
Google Lens suggests Asbolus verrucosus, the Desert Ironclad Beetle, which is found mainly in SW USA. The Wikipedia photo looks very similar. Visiting the insect specialist sites would still be beneficial to confirm any ID. This is a really cool looking bug!
Thank you.
