Triangualr cobweb spider. Found crawling on my bed 11:00am. It was about the size of a quarter. Made me nervous. Should I have been nervous??!!

Do Triangular spiders bite? Why was it on my bed during the day?
Hi, welcome to Spider ID. 🙂 This is a False Black Widow (Steatoda grossa). They’re only likely to bite in self defense – which could happen if you rolled onto one in your bed. I do not know why it was in your bed, they usually keep to themselves. Perhaps her web was destroyed and she was looking for a better place to build or she was carried in on something.
