Comments & ID Thoughts
I’m pretty sure this is a K. hibernalis male (aka Southern House Spider). He was found in our laundry room. He has pretended to be dead multiple times, but he is in fact still alive. He is over 40mm in length.

I agree, filed. Welcome to Spider ID. 🙂
I could be wrong but that looks like a brown recluse to me.
It’s a male Southern House Spider (Kukulcania hibernalis). The easiest way to tell is that dark brown marking on the cephalothorax. If it’s just a single line, it’s likely a K. hibernalis. If it’s a violin-shape however, that would indicate Brown Recluse (Loxosceles spp.).
I agree and another distinction is the size of the pedipalps (mouth parts). The Kukulcania hibernalis has extremely long and slender pedipalps that almost resemble another pair of legs while a Loxosceles reclusa has more “average” sized pedipalps.
