Hi, this is a Cellar Spider. They are quite harmless, the worst they do is make webs that get dusty. The best that they do is catch almost any bug ( including other spider species) that gets into the house. I have lots of them. There’s even one hanging out next-to me at the moment.

You’re quite welcome! I think these have longer thinner legs than recluses. I’ve never seen a Brown Recluse in-person. My husband is doing a great job of overcoming his spider phobia ( different than a fear based on an actual bite). He and other people have found it helpful to take photos of the spiders they see to lose fear. Helping people feel calmer around spiders is really the most basic reason our website exists.
