The spider walked onto the tennis court and crawled on a ball

I wonder if the ball looked like an unprotected egg sac to the spider.
I was wondering that too. If they have some instinct to guard a circular structure.
I made a note to myself to find out. The texture and color are similar to her own egg sacs.
