Note: Found under a rock, close to a web and next to a male S. paykulliana.
Why do you describe her as a juvenile? She looks gravid.
1) Females of this species have big bellies in general. (not always)
2) Fat doesn’t always mean it’s pregnant(gravid).
3) Like this one, Adult male x juvenile female pairs can be seen in this species.(Mate-guarding)
4) This one (and her belly size) looks like the sub-adult (and virgin) female from this website: https://www.jason-steel.co.uk/false-widow-spiders.php
5) As I see in the iNaturalist images, usually sub-adults have white patterns.(But I should ask a expert)
It’s not %100
Also website I sent says:
The abdominal markings of most female specimens will change from cream / white to yellow, then orange, and finally red, but the markings of some specimens may remain in either white, yellow or orange even once the spider reaches maturity.
People on iNat confirmed it’s adult.
