This looks like a phidippus audax, which have similar body shapes as spiders in the Eresus family do. Definitely not a velvet spider though.

Someone on Instagram said the same thing. It just doesn’t have the fuzziness the online pics display.

Probably because this one is a male. Female jumping spiders tend to be much fuzzier than the boys.
