I think it’s a a star-bellied orbweaver, Acanthepeira stellata.
Ok. Should I be worried that it’s around where my pregnant wife and I frequent?
Hi. none of the orb weavers will bite unless trapped against skin and not of medical significance.
Last thing I worry about but depends on your wife’s tolerance to venomous bites.
No record of medical implications with pregnancies.
