Comments & ID Thoughts
When I found it i thought it was dead because it wouldnt move after i blew on it or prodded it a bit. But then when I was about to sweep it into the garbage it started moving very lathargically, so maybe it was about to molt? I really have no idea. But also I can't find it anywhere on the internet. It'll move and clean itself every once in a while now, and doesnt seem to mind the light either, so I'm a little confused on this one. And info would be really cool! Thanks

Alright so I’ve discovered that it is a Star Bellied Orb Weaver. I’m pretty sure it’s a female because of how dark it is. I’ve decided I’m going to try my hand at keeping her, so if anyone reads this and has a couple tips, they would be welcome to share them. Thanks!
Big orb-weavers typically don’t do well in captivity because they need a lot of room to spin their webs. I would put her someplace semi-sheltered outside. You could offer her something to drink, spiders will drink from a moistened cotton ball or scrap of paper towel.
You got it, filed.
