It was crawling on the bedroom wall yesterday. Today I drew the curtain back and it dropped to the floor.
It appears to have an elongated yellow rectangular mark on its abdomen and is about an inch long
Hi there this may be a Phidippus audax (bold jumper) :3
Thanks, I was poking around online and thought it might be one of the philipidus(i?). Are they dangerous?
There not, just don’t go bothering it as in catching them.
Hi, jumping spiders aren’t web spiders, as you noticed. Spiders generally either trap prey with webs or surprise ambush prey (there are exceptions). The spiders that don’t make webs to trap prey usually have the ability to make silk for many other purposes.
