No, it isn’t dangerous. They’re actually popular pets because they’re cute and playful. They like to chase things like computer cursors and laser pointers. It can bite in self-defense if it is handled too roughly. Spiders’ bodies are very sensitive to pressure. The bite isn’t any worse than an ant or hornet sting.
