This is a better picture. My son wants to let it go. But I have young children who would pick it up.
Hi, I don’t know what it is. Someone else may still. In the meantime, you could release it somewhere far away enough to be away from your kids. I think that would be better than having them see it die in captivity.
Hi, see above image for ID. 🙂 The males in this genus are often mistaken for Recluse but are not anything to worry over.
