According to what I found it is a banded garden spider, however except for one other picture out of Missouri all other spiders I seen looked quite different

Yes it is a Banded Garden Spider, Argiope trifasciata. https://bugguide.net/node/view/2015 The link is to this species on Bugguide.net. They have about 20 years of photo submissions. Immature Argiope tend to be pale, depending on the point they have reached in molting. I suspect they usually aren’t photographed this young because the spider and the web are smaller and less visible. It’s cute!
